ScrubFix is for sale
An already running remote-controlled land clearance business serving Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, with specialist machinery, trailer, website, lead-generation funnel, customer history, order book, and a thorough handover.
A specialist business with proven local demand.
ScrubFix was built to help smallholders, landowners, forestry clients and local businesses reclaim difficult or overgrown land using remote-controlled mulching equipment. The business has established its name locally and built a steady stream of inbound enquiries in under a year.
What the business does
- Scrub, bramble, bracken and gorse clearance
- Remote-controlled slope mowing
- Orchard and forestry maintenance
- Low-impact mulching and land reclamation
- Work for smallholders, estates, landowners and commercial clients
Why it may suit a buyer
- Existing brand, website and enquiry funnel
- Established local customer and lead history
- Specialist equipment already assembled into a working setup
- Current pricing model and quoting knowledge included
- Potential to operate seasonally, part-time, or grow into a larger contracting business
What's included
The intention is to sell ScrubFix as a complete, ready-to-go, usable operation rather than simply dispose of the machine.
Equipment
McConnel Robocut T400 remote-controlled machine with two cutting heads (grass & omega forestry mulcher), plus plant trailer, and relevant business equipment.
Business assets
ScrubFix name and brand, scrubfix.co.uk website, established enquiry funnel, CRM/customer history, marketing assets, order book, paperwork, and existing operating knowledge.
Handover
A detailed handover covering the machine, common maintenance, job selection, quoting, transport, customer workflow, and lessons learned from the first year.
Existing momentum
A live business with proven inbound demand and order book, rather than a cold-start opportunity.
Customer base
ScrubFix's customer base has grown steadily since launch. For the first 5 months this was largely Carmarthenshire based, but increasingly Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion based customers have been accumulating. (This would probaby work in any rural area.)
Why sell?
ScrubFix has proved there is demand for this service. The sale is being explored because the owner has several other businesses competing for time.
Currently run as a part-time business, there is absolutely scope to run this full-time, where it could make considerably more revenue per month.
Who would this suit?
This would suit someone wishing to have a part-time, or full-time rural business:
- Requires 1 day training course on machine, and a first aid certificate (1 day course)
- Requires towing the machine to job sites with (included) trailer
- Requires moderate fitness (mostly walking while working, but some carrying of fuel etc.)
- Happy to deal with rural clients (typically smallholders, landowners, farmers, etc)
- Benefits from engineering experience (plenty of services locally would repair the machine if needed, but self-repair is a bonus)
- Basic plant knowledge is beneficial, but not essential
- Very high day rate (£650-700 per day currently, likely £750-800 in 2027)
For someone who can bring energy to this business, I expect it could make £10k~ per month (before expenses, 8 months a year), or even more if expanded. (Currently operated part-time and the existing lead flow suggests scope to increase working days significantly.)
Due to the popularity of Clarkson's Farm and from local council use of these machines, there is a strong demand for this service; regularly people even pull over in their cars to watch/ask for a business card.
